چکیده
Groundwater aquifer contamination has leads health problems in village areas of Maharashtra, India. In this study, groundwater analysis was carried out for different parameters along with fluoride to delineate the high and low contaminated region Walwa taluka, Maharashtra. A distinct regions F‒ were identified collected post monsoon samples (n = 144). total 98% are unsuitable consumption. Hydro-geochemistry showed highest anion concentration bicarbonate (1880 mg/L), whereas cation calcium measured as 118 mg/L. It is main cause alkaline condition region. The 2D ordinary kriging results well corborated obtained hydrogeochemistry results. found near Krishna River, agricultural land primary suggests that geogenic source minerals practice fertiliser, herbicides pesticides on field these secondary contamination. applied numerical modelling software, provided technically viable effective decision making-tool identification safe study area.

متن کاملA Fuzzy Simulation-Based Optimization Approach for Groundwater Remediation Design at Contaminated Aquifers
A fuzzy simulation-based optimization approach FSOA is developed for identifying optimal design of a benzene-contaminated groundwater remediation system under uncertainty. FSOA integrates remediation processes i.e., biodegradation and pump-and-treat , fuzzy simulation, and fuzzy-mean-value-based optimization technique into a general management framework. This approach offers the advantages of 1...
متن کاملArsenic, microbes and contaminated aquifers.
The health of tens of millions of people world-wide is at risk from drinking arsenic-contaminated well water. In most cases this arsenic occurs naturally within the sub-surface aquifers, rather than being derived from identifiable point sources of pollution. The mobilization of arsenic into the aqueous phase is the first crucial step in a process that eventually leads to human arsenicosis. Incr...
متن کاملGroundwater withdrawal in randomly heterogeneous coastal aquifers
We analyze the combined effects of aquifer heterogeneity and pumping operations on seawater intrusion (SWI) in coastal aquifers, a phenomenon which is threatening Mediterranean and worldwide regions. We conceptualize the aquifer as a three-dimensional randomly heterogeneous porous medium, where the spatial distribution of permeability is uncertain. The geological setting of our study is pattern...
